My work on the show was truly a full circle moment. As a fan of creature features, my debut fiction collection included stories such as “It Just Kills You Inside” – a philosophical, post-zombie outbreak saga exploring the nature of humanity through the recollections of a grizzled PR fixer facing his own mortality. There was even a direct nod to the TWD universe as Richonne fanfics are mentioned in “Rain Check at MomoCon” – a YA story set in the nerd nirvana of a comic book convention.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live series stars Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira, reprising their roles as survivors Rick Grimes and Michonne in an epic saga following as they find their way back to one another – both physically and emotionally – after several years of separation. Together, they will face human and undead foes in a battle to better their changed world.  As a Credited Scriptwriter, I provided principal writing for Episode 2, “Gone” - wherein Michonne makes “unlikely alliances” on her quest to reunite with the father of her children. As a Credited Staff Writer, I worked in a vibrant writing room – brainstorming character arcs, pitching ideas and impactful story beats for the entirety of the six-episode run. The show premiered on AMC and AMC+ in Spring 2024 and on Netflix in Spring 2025.

On a personal level, I love all things that go bump in the night – particularly zombies – as evidenced by this photo montage featuring my siblings and me in full undead regalia at a Brooklyn zombie walk.
